City Clerk
The Office of the City Clerk provides a direct link between the residents of the City of North Pole, their elected officials, and agencies of government at all levels. The City Clerk works directly for the City Council and is committed to conducting the duties of the office in an ethical, friendly, and efficient manner to ensure an effective link between citizens, local governing officials, and other government agencies and is responsible for carrying out the statutory and professional duties of a municipal clerk.
How to Offer Public Testimony at Council Meetings
Written testimony is encouraged. You may submit your comments by calling the Clerk’s Office at (907) 488-8583 or by sending an email to MDionne@northpolealaska.org prior to 1:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. Please indicate which agenda item you are providing written testimony for. Examples: Ordinance or Resolution number, agenda item #, or description of subject.
To sign-up for telephonic testimony call the Clerk’s Office at (907) 488-8583 or email MDionne@northpolealaska.org prior to 1:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. Please indicate that you wished to be called, for what item you will provide testimony on, and what number you can be reached at.
If you are testifying in person, please sign the sign-in sheet in the lobby prior to the start of the meeting.
All NPCC meetings are held in person in the City Hall Chambers. We are live streaming to the City of North Pole's YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/@cityofnorthpole1821/live.

City Clerk Melissa Dionne has been with the city since 2021. Melissa is a military dependent and grew up all over the United States and Europe and eventually ended up in North Pole. She graduated from North Pole High School and after some moving around has called North Pole home since 2004. On the weekends you can find her rafting the Chena in the summer and up to her elbows in anything and everything crafty the rest of the year. Melissa lives with her significant other, son and fur babies Fred, Daisy, Buckshot, Penelope, Luna and Nova.
