Chandra Clack was born in Fairbanks (before Alaska became a State), at St. Joesph Hospital.She spent most of her childhood babysitting, working and going to school. Growing up, Chandra developed a passion for Alaska and teaching kids. She attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks where she studied basic studies and went on to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Development with an emphasis on Family Support. She owned her own home daycare, Center Little Cubs, as well as managed two daycare centers (Kids Choice & Little Lamb Too).
Her past volunteering experience is with GVEA as GVEA Nominating Committee forDistrict 5. She has volunteered in the past every third Wednesday of the month on Spirit of Alaska Federal Credit Union, Supervisory Committee. She volunteers at Care Net Pregnancy Center now known as Fyndout Care Pregnancy Center, assisting with fundraising and occasional trainings. In the past, she has also volunteered on the Thrivalaska Head Start Program, and the Policy Board Council.
Chandra is retired from being a substitute teacher and sales associate. She enjoys playing with her two American Hound dogs and one cat, reading, watching movies with her loved ones, board games, and spending time with her husband of 40 years, Terrence, their two daughters, and five grandchildren.
She ran for office because she wants her children and grandchildren to make their home in the North Pole area and to set by example, for the next generation to get involved. She wanted to be a part of North Pole City Council because she feels she’ll bring unique ideas to the Council and enjoys being a part of something that can do well for the community.
