North Pole Police Reserve Association

To become an officer in the NPPRA, the NPPRA officer must meet the same stringent qualifications as a North Pole Police Department officer. They must have already attended an Alaska Police Standard Council recognized police academy and meet pass all the testing that a regular officer must pass. Even though the NPPRA is a volunteer organization and these officers are unpaid, they have done a great service to our community. It is a great way to learn the law enforcement profession with a "hands-on" approach. We have had many NPPRA officers go on to become full-time officers in both our police department and other police departments.
If you are interested in becoming a NPPRA officer, go to the employment page of our website and fill out an application and write Reserve Officer on the application. You will be contacted concerning the scheduling of the testing. If you have any questions on this opportunity or on any of the requirements, please call Sgt. Dave Stevenson at (907) 488-6902 or send an email to nppd@northpolepolice.org. Thank you!
