Have you seen the signs? Heard the buzz? The City of North Pole and the Fairbanks North Star Borough Community Planning are kick starting a series of public workshops to create a North Pole specific land use and urban design plan.  North Pole is growing and at a critical juncture where having a plan in place that encourages the best growth and deters disjointed, undirected development would be incredibly beneficial to our community.

We need your input and are excited to have you and everyone you know attend Public Workshop 1.  This interactive workshop will give you the chance to let us know how you envision creating and maintaining a healthy economy and high quality of life for our community.  Please let everyone know about this crucial workshop, and call City Hall (488-2281) with any questions.  Snacks will be provided by Safeway and City of North Pole, and we have a variety of door prizes donated by Dalman’s Family Restaurant, Food Factory, Pagoda, Pizza Hut, Santa’s Letters and Gifts, and Thai Cuisine Restaurant.

When you think of North Pole at its absolute best, what do you see?

Please attend and tell us, draw for us, or write to us how you would create a vibrant North Pole.

Let us know,

what do you envision?

Some background information--our Fairbanks North Star Borough Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) states that the borough aims to:

We already have support for all these goals and more, but it is now up to us to create a clear land use, urban design, and economic development plan for North Pole—a North Pole specific comprehensive plan.  This will be a tangible vision for conveying to our community members, business people, and leaders the opportunities and advantages to living, working, investing, and doing business in North Pole.
