Invitation to Bid
City of North Pole
Wastewater Treatment Plant Renovation

The City of North Pole is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the rehabilitation of the municipal wastewater treatment plant to include all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to rehabilitate the facilities in accordance with Contract documents. The work includes rehabilitation of the effluent lift station, disinfection system, process piping system, aeration piping and blower systems, and building heating and ventilation systems; Contractor installation of the Owner furnished emergency power generation system, new lighting and electrical systems, telecommunications, security and fire systems; buried piping and construction of a new metering manhole and valving; controls and instrumentation improvements; assorted building envelope repairs, structural work, coatings, finishes, and related improvements; controls, instrumentation, and SCADA systems; a motorized operator for entrance gate; and other related work indicated in the project documents. The Engineer’s Estimate for this project is between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000, including all additive alternates. This contract is subject to the provisions of State of Alaska, Title 36, Minimum Wage Rates and the Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Determinations. The contract will require certificates of insurance and performance and payment bonds.

Bids will be received at the North Pole City Hall, 125 Snowman Lane, North Pole, AK 99705 until 2:00 PM, Monday May 12, 2014, at which time they will be opened and made public. Complete bidding documents are available only in electronic form, and may be viewed online and downloaded without charge and without deposit from Submittal Exchange at:  https://www.submittalexchange.com/bid/NorthPoleWWTP/Planroom. Bidders must register through that Web Site to obtain the documents and to be notified when addenda are posted. If paper copies of the documents are desired, Bidders are responsible for printing their own copies.
